How the Resume Writing Process Works

(Note to local clients: An in-office consultation is available but not required.)

1. We offer a free introductory consultation (10-15 minutes) to discuss what your needs are and how we can meet them. You can schedule this preliminary consultation Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time, by calling 408-244-6401.
2. If you decide to have A Blue Ribbon Resume create your resume, we will schedule a time for your in-depth consultation, which usually lasts about an hour. In some circumstances, this can be conducted outside normal business hours by special pre-arrangement.
3. If a phone or in-person consultation is impractical due to distance, time zones or other factors, we can exchange information via email.
4. Before the full consultation, you will be asked to complete, sign, and (for not-in-person consultations) fax or mail back a copy of our Project Work Order/Agreement. Credit card information is requested on the form, and 50% of the estimated fee will be charged to your card at the conclusion of the consultation.
5. We will create a draft of your resume and submit it to you by email, fax, or mail. Note: The balance due on your project will be charged to your credit card at that time. After you review the draft, we will communicate again to discuss necessary revisions and finalize your project.
